Art News:London´s White Cube Gallery launched on 1st March a Hong Kong branch. The gallerie´s first space outside Britain is located in Hong Kongs central business district and has an impressive size of 6,000-square-foot.
Artist Mike Kelly died at age of 58, probably the artist commited suicide.
The planned merger between art forum berlin and abc-art berlin contemporary, an event organized by Berlin galleries, will not take place. As a result Messe Berlin will for the time being withdraw from the art fair business.
Frieze Art Fair announced that it will launch a New York edition in May 2012. With about 170 exhibitors, the Frieze Art Fair New York will be the same size as the London event.
